I was dying to do a speedpaint all last week. XDD
Especially after I was taking photos and such, and I took the weirdest photo ever. The background is that photo, and what it was, was the glass coffee table in my living room!
My mom has all these shells, glass floats and all sorts of nautical things on it, and the reflection the glass made on the glass table was really cool and abstract.
Totally fits for the Noisulli world!

As for the song, I'm not so much a huge Muse fan, but I do like this song (and a few others) and this song just fit perfectly for the storyline.

The Iolarian "virus", (more like nanotechnology gone out of control, like a Grey Goo doomsday effect) creates it own immortal beings. The nanotechnology can self-replicate itself, and takes over any living being, eating away at it and eventually destroying every bit of the host's genes.
In the past, it even consumed a whole solar system and race (the original Noisulli)
It leaves behind a crystal-like material that's highly corrosive and contagious, that can cause illness or death.

I guess this is just more illustrative, because with that sort of risk... I highly doubt Noisulli would just let them live under a glass floor and be all like "Yay! All consuming robots! Let's keep them inches away from us!" XDD Those things are like, WAAAAY out of reach. XD;;;;
...
Ranul's interest in the nanotechnology and anger towards it is more just shown here, and almost hypnotized by it, while Ralos is trying to bring him back to his senses.
Or something like that.
